Sports

The San Francisco Bay Area is home to a host of professional sports teams.  The San Francisco 49ers football team is the oldest professional sports organization in the City and winner of five Super Bowl Championships. Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants—World Series Champions in 2010—are housed at AT&T Ball Park—a facility that rivals sports complexes throughout the world and is located directly on the water, with easy public transit access and incomparable views of the City and the Bay Bridge. Other Bay Area professional sports teams include the Golden State Warriors, Oakland Raiders, San Jose Earthquakes and the San Jose Sharks. The University of San Francisco is the local Division 1 NCAA School.  Its principal sports are baseball, basketball and soccer.
