High-profile real estate startup W3 Partners has landed its first major investment, a $100 million injection from a subsidiary of Hunt Realty Investment.

The investment by Dallas-based Akard Street Partners, a partnership operated by Hunt, will provide W3 with a operating and investment platform for acquiring office and research and development properties in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
