Cleantech industry attracts $2B in VC investment
Cleantech
companies attracted $2.02 billion in venture investments worldwide in
the second quarter of this year, according to a preliminary tally by the
Cleantech Group and Deloitte.
The flow of venture dollars was on
par with the first quarter, when $2.04 billion was invested, and was up
43 percent from the same period a year ago.

SOLAR: $811 million in 26
deals
BIOFUELS: $302 million in 13 deals
SMART GRID: $256 million in 11 deals
ENERGY EFFICIENCY: $147 million in 31 deals
