California offers $30M cleantech program (see link for application)

California cleantech businesses can compete for $30 million in low-interest loans funded by the federal stimulus. The Clean Energy Business Financing Program was developed by the California Energy Commission as a way to put to work hundreds of millions in stimulus money offered to the state though the State Energy Program.

Companies can apply for loans between $50,000 and $5 million. To qualify, projects must demonstrate program success, leverage other project funds and show profitability, the CEC said.

Applications will be available March 29 and can be found by clicking the above link.
