Wells Fargo donates to Bay Area schools

Bay Area schools are receiving donation in the amount of $500,000 from Wells Fargo and Wachovia. The purpose of this donation is to help schools with finances during the recession that hit education deeply.

Two local schools are selected by every Wells Fargo and Wachovia branch in the Bay Area to receive $1,000 each to help pay for school supplies and education programs.

As Michael Billeci, Wells Fargo's San Francisco Bay Area regional president, said "We are helping to give students the tools they need to succeed.  We hope other will do what they can to step up for local schools."
