UCSF and Gladstone best academic places to work

According to a survey conducted by "The Scientist" magazine, UC San Francisco was the second and J. David Gladstone Institute the sixth as the best academic places to work in the US.  A total of 94 US institutions and 2,355 life scientists responded from the magazine readers and registrants  were used for the list and evaluated on 38 criteria in eight different areas including job satisfaction, peers, teaching/mentoring, infrastructure/environment, pay, research resources, tenure/promotion, and management/polices. UCSF was on the list largely due to overall job satisfaction and peers while Gladstone was due to infrastructure/environment and management/policies.
