Tech companies move into Chronicle building
Tech companies move into Chronicle building
Three technology companies including Hub Bay Area, TechShop, and Square have agreed to lease the lower floors of the Chronicle building. Hub Bay Area and TechShop which will provide space, funding and counseling to startups will have 6,000 square feet and 15,500 square feet, respectively. Square will conduct digital credit card financial transactions and will move into 3,2000 square feet of the building. The developers and city are planning to create an "innovation incubation hub" in the Mid-Market district and the move is the first steps in a broader plan for the future redevelopment of the site.
