Stanford wins $20 million grant

Stanford University received a $20 million grant from the Department of Energy's Office of Science to create an energy efficiency research center. The center called Nanostructuring for Efficient Energy Conversion is planned to open August 1. The awarded grant is expected to increase knowledge of sustainable energy particularly devices like solar cells and batteries.
