SF Film Rebates

On Tuesday the board of supervisors will vote on a new proposed Film incentive. San Francisco's proposed film rebate would increase incentives for shooting movies in the City. The film industry which boomed in the 90's saw an all-time low between 2003 and 2004. This translated to job lost and of 1,099 between 2001 and 2006, along with millions in spending and tax revenues. Under the new proposal the $22 million production of the movie "Milk" would have received $188,631 from the City instead of the $99,215 rebate it received.
