Schwab closes landmark SF branch

This month Charles Schwab closed its branch at 101 Montomery St., a landmark in San Francisco's financial district.  The new location is at nearby branch 100 Post St.  Although the new branch is bigger and better than the previous one according to Schwab, the closure at 101 Montgomery marks the end of the era.  During an economic crisis investors and others would stop outside the branch to glance at stock tickers and the latest stock prices to have a sense of what is happening in a financial market.
