Levi's to stay put in SF

After nearly a year long search for the best place, Levi Strauss & Co. decided to extend its 400,000-square-foot lease at its Levi's Plaza headquarters in San Francisco. The company which is located at 1155 Battery Street agreed to stay at least till 2021 and keep its 1,200 workers.

Mary Boland, Senior Vice President of Finance and Distribution at Levi's, admitted "San Francisco is a high-cost city to do business...but it has a lot to offer in terms of talent and lifestyle. There's not a better place in the country to be."

Similarly, Jennifer Entine Matz, Deputy Director at Mayor's Office of Economic and Development, who helped Levi's in making the decision said "To have a company the stature of Levi's choose San Francisco, I think, really affirms that the city is indeed a good place for the full breadth of businesses."
