Eventbrite gets $6.5 million
A San Francisco startup company Eventbrite has raised $6.5 million in funding from Sequoia Capital. Together with the previous infusion, the company's funding totaled to about $9.5 million. The company that employs 30 people is looking to expand rapidly, hiring at least 50 new employees in the coming year, according to co-founder and CEO Kevin Hartz. Eventbrite is an online self-service event ticketing and management firm.
