Del Monte expands into new HQ

Del Monte Foods in San Francisco will relocate and expand its headquarters to One Maritime Plaza in early 2011.  The new 153,000 square-foot headquarters will have 400 workers from the Landmark at One Market (93,000 square-feet) and 50 California St. (19,000 square feet).  Del Monte that was represented by CAC Group will have the top two floors of the 25-floor One Maritime Plaza.  According to the company the new location will centralize the organization and will "further support execution of the company's accelerated growth strategy."  

List of the other major deals in San Francisco:

  1. Nektar- a biotech firm will move to 102,000 square feet Mission Bay
  2. Twitter will move to 30,000 square feet at 795 Folsom St.
  3. Cisco Systems has recently moved to 37,000 square feet at China Basin
  4. Zynga- a social gaming company will relocate to 137,000 square feet at 500 Terry Francois Blvd. the deal is still in a negotiation faze.
