CIRM awards $40.6M in stem cell training grants 

Grants in the total amount of nearly $40.6 million that were approved in January but put on hold by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) will be received by 15 institutions including Stanford University at the amount of $3,930,000, the University of California of San Francisco (UCSF)- $3,899,912, UC Berkeley- $3,371,686, and the J. David Gladstone Institutes- $2,517,888. The grants were approved to support scientists: graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and clinical researchers who work in stem cell research labs.
