Catalyst to get $21M upfront in Wyeth deal

South San Francisco-based Catalyst Biosciences, Inc. will receive $21 million upfront in a deal with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for working on hemophilia treatments. For the next two years the deal may bring total of $40 million to the company. According to Catalyst the ultimate value of the deal may amount to $500 million in research funding.
