California jobless rate record 11.5

In May, unemployment rate in California hit record number of 11.5 percent from the revised 11.1 in last month. Only the states of Michigan, Oregon, Rhode Island, and South Carolina had higher figures. The states of California have lost 885,000 jobs since May 2008 including 69,000 jobs in May itself. The largest job lost was noted in the government and accounted for 14,200 jobs according to the California Employment Development Department. Only education and health services sectors were among the ones that didn't record any job cuts.
